Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service for various functions on our website:

Google (Universal) Analytics

We use Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that analyse your website usage. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will be truncated before transfer by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and truncated there. This data transfer is based on EU standard contractual clauses.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your website usage, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google (Universal) Analytics as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full. In addition, you may prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

For more information about Google’s terms of use and data protection, please go to http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and/or under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. Please note that on this website Google (Universal) Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure the anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP-Masking).

The use of Google (Universal) Analytics is based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Google Optimize

We use Google Optimize, a service provided by Google ("Google Optimize"). Google Optimize analyses the use of different variants of the website so that we are able to adapt the user experience to the behaviour of the website users. Google Optimize is a tool integrated into Google Analytics and uses cookies.

The use of Google Optimize is based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Facebook

We use the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook").

If a user clicks on an advertisement placed by us that is displayed on Facebook, an extension is added to the URL of our linked page by Facebook Pixel. If our site allows data to be shared with Facebook via pixels, this URL parameter is inscribed in the user's browser via a cookie, which our linked site sets itself. This cookie is then processed by Facebook Pixel and enables the data to be transferred to Facebook. The Facebook pixel makes it possible for Facebook to specify the visitors to our online offer as the target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited), which we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. This allows us to further evaluate the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion"). The data collected is anonymous for us, so it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Facebook and its partners to serve ads on and off Facebook.

The use of the Facebook pixel is based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
